Popular and highly skilled bassist Naoki Mitsuoka, who enjoys the trust of fellow musicians, has formed a quartet centered around young trumpet player Junpei Funaki, who is still a university student. This kind of cross-generational collaboration is what enriches the Kansai jazz scene and connects it to the next generation.
